Not knowing the process, don't they have to (re-print) the video for the new format? DVDs are what 2 gigs but Blue Ray is like 23 gigs or something?

I believe mastering would be the same as for a CD (both in stereo) but the end product would later need to be encoded (Dolby AC3 etc..).

There is a company (Minnet??) that offers an affordable encoding software package.

For me, Max was a frustrating waste of time.

It almost worked.
When it did almost work, it was so cool.
If they had fixed it, it would have been a great tool.

Notice there were no updates/bug fixes.

The cable is called an "Imagewriter serial cable."

It has send/receive flipped within the cable, end to end. So the Send (TXD) on one end connects to Receive (RXD) at the other. And vice versa.

Thanks for the correction. It's been so long since we discussed MAXX that I'd forgotten.

I do recall that MAXX will not run under MacOS X "Classic" mode. Maybe I was confusing the two.
